Charted VFR Flyway Planning Charts are printed on the backs of the Atlanta, Baltimore-Washington, Chicago, Dallas-Ft. Worth, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, San Diego and Seattle Terminal Area Charts (TACs). Denver VFR Flyway Planning Chart to be available upon the commissioning of Denver International Airport. The are of coverage of these charts is the same as the associated TACs. Flyway Planning Charts depict flight paths and altitudes recommended for use to by-pass areas heavily traversed by large
turbine-powered aircraft. Ground references on these charts provide a guide for visual orientation. Flyway Planning Charts are designed to be used in conjunction with TACs and Sectional Aeronautical Charts, and are not to be used for navigation. Additional Flyway Planning Charts are developed at the direction of the FAA. (Scale 1 inch = 3.43nm/1:250,000. Same size as the associated TAC folded to 5 x 10 inches.)
